When a luxury event Paris demands more than décor, when it calls for a living work of art, the answer lies in fully custom artistic conception. On 12 May 2025, RêvARTe was invited to transform the Historic Salons of the Shangri-La Paris into an immersive world for an exclusive internal gala themed "L'Empire en fête – Mondanités Napoléoniennes." The result was the Porcelain Muse: a bespoke entertainment Paris concept that blurred the boundary between haute couture and live performance.
From a theme to a living artistic universe
Every bespoke event design begins with a brief. Here, the theme was clear: the opulence of the Second Empire, the grandeur of imperial Paris, and the intimate elegance of Napoléonic society. RêvARTe's creative team translated this brief into a full artistic concept, not merely costumes, but a complete visual and sensory identity.
The process unfolded in three phases:

Moodboard & research: Porcelain blue-and-white tones, toile de Jouy motifs, and the Shangri-La's original 19th-century architectural heritage provided the visual foundation.

Costume design & production: Several silhouette versions were sketched, refined, and produced in-house full ball gowns with structured corsets, voluminous skirts, embroidered sleeves, and lacework headdresses, all realised as haute couture costume pieces by RêvARTe's atelier.

Beauty direction: A bespoke face chart was developed a faded blue halo eye, peach blush, and low chignon to extend the Porcelain Muse aesthetic from costume to complexion.
This is what distinguishes bespoke entertainment Paris at the highest level: every visual element is designed as a unified whole.
The performance: Immersive entertainment across the evening
The artistic programme was structured to punctuate the evening without interrupting its flow — a signature of RêvARTe's approach to luxury gala entertainment.
Arrival & Cocktail
Two dancers positioned in the grand staircase leading to the salons welcomed guests as living sculptures — immersive entertainment in its most refined form. Accompanied by a singer performing unexpected or reinterpreted repertoire, the arrival became a moment of poetic rupture: the real world left behind, the Empire entered.
Dinner in the Grand Salon
Three distinct live performance Paris interventions shaped the dinner experience:
Two freestyle dancer passages weaving gracefully between tables, bringing movement and narrative to the room without staging constraints.
A vocalist offering a curated, subtly subversive repertoire that created contrast with the classical setting.
A silhouette artist, whose quiet artistry offered guests a personal, intimate memento of the evening.
Each element was conceived as part of a continuous custom artistic performance, not a series of disconnected acts.
What makes RêvARTe's approach distinctive
RêvARTe is a French luxury entertainment agency founded in Paris in 2019. Its defining characteristic is the integration of artistic direction, tailor-made show design, costume production, and talent curation under one creative vision eliminating the gap between concept and execution that often dilutes bespoke event design.
For the Porcelain Muse, this meant:
Full ownership of the creative brief from moodboard to stage
In-house costume construction to haute couture standards
Choreographic direction aligned with the spatial constraints of historic venues
Seamless collaboration with the Shangri-La Paris events team
The Shangri-La Paris built in the former residence of Prince Roland Bonaparte provided the ideal frame: a venue where Second Empire grandeur and contemporary refinement coexist. RêvARTe's bespoke entertainment Paris responded to that context precisely.
